An extraordinary nineteenth century egg-form snuff box. The sterling silver nest egg, made by the well regarded George W. Schiebler silver workshop, has a garland in relief trailing across the top and is gilded within. An absolutely charming example for the collector of unusual and fine boxes. New York, circa 1890. The firm ceased production in 1910. 1 1/2" W., 2 3/8" L., 1 3/8" H.
