A stunning pewter mount with its original gilding adorns the green glass wine decanter. Reticulated berries, foliates and vines are complemented by a hinged top with berries in relief. Made by the Walter Scherf workshop founded in Nuremberg in 1899 and ceased operating in 1914. A fine example from this workshop, who commissioned prominent designers including Friedrich Adler, Peter Behrens and Joseph Maria Olbrich. The range was signed Isis or Osiris as is this beneath. Nuremberg circa 1900-05. 11 3/8" H.

Superb quality Art Nouveau 800 Fine Silver tray by the Wilhelm Binder workshop in Schwabisch Gmund, Germany circa 1905. The oval dual handle form has cut out interlacing Jugendstil elements. Hand chased contoured accents enhance the design. Further handwork is seen in rolled edging around the entire tray. Firm's marks beneath. An Austro-Hungarian import mark for Budapest is stamped upon one handle. An identical example in the collection of the Brohan Museum in Berlin is pictured page 101, 'Modern Art of Metalwork', published by the museum. Dimensions: 6 5/8" W, 13 1/4" L.

Fine WMF centerpiece depicting a central maiden with outstretched arms. Whiplash handles flank the high Art Nouveau reticulated form. Relief patterns of flowers and vines sweep about the surface. The crystal liner is cut with complimenting florals. Stabilized crack upon left of liner. Designed by Albert Mayer circa 1900 in Germany in the workshop's 1906 Catalogue page 364. An undulating Art Nouveau framework adorns the original complimenting cut crystal bowl. A billowing cover enhanced by relief tendrils and a naturalistic pierced handle complete the form. Made by the Walter Scherf workshop founded in Nuremberg in 1899 and ceased operating in 1914. Prominent designers such as Friedrich Adler, Peter Behrens and Joseph Maria Olbrich were commissioned to create designs. This fine example was likely designed by Peter Behrens. Art Nouveau silver card tray with a raised border of intertwined mistletoe leaves. The rectangular tray with its rounded corners bears hallmarks beneath for Orfevrerie Boulenger et Cie, Paris. Beautifully interpreted Art Nouveau design. A Mucha-inspired figural maiden with flowing hair upholds a corner of her gown as it undulates about the perimeter of the tray. Pendant irises in relief are further enhanced by cast and applied flowers and fronds in high relief. Made by the famous WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) workshop in Germany circa 1900. Extraordinary design. High art nouveau centerpiece stand by the famous WMF (Wurttembergische MetallWarenfabrik) workshop in Germany circa 1900. A four footed curving base with irises in relief leads to a naturalistic column with flanking whiplash elements. An elaborately reticulated framework of art nouveau florals above rippling water like patterns holds a cobalt crystal bowl. The scallop edge bowl has gold enamel floral accents about it's form. Stunning pair of Jungendstil bowls. The footed silver forms have sweeping Art Nouveau elements among shield friezes. Secession influence geometric designs complete the 800 fine silver framework. Undulating hand-cut crystal liners rest within. Two inner-rim flakes on one liner. Each signed beneath with workshop marks for the well-known Koch & Bergfeld, circa 1902. Retailer marks for Vollgold & Sohn are found on the silver as well. The Koch & Bergfeld silversmiths were founded in Bremen in 1829. Examples of their works are represented in the Brohan Museum collection in Berlin. 5 1/2" H., 7 1/4" W. each.
