Lovely unusual example from the famous Mappin & Webb workshop of London and Sheffield circa 1910. Crystal biscuit barrel with silvered mounts is cut with stylized florals and vines dancing about the ribbed surface. A bale handle and turned lid finial enhance the form. Finely detailed water lily pattern with floating lilies and pads descending along the stem of the spoon on the front as well as the reverse.
