Fine Art Nouveau silver and enamel brooch with two large, heart-shape foliates in lush blue-to-green enamels. The hearts are surrounded by additional stylized foliates in relief. The firm, founded by Ernest Murrle of Pforzheim and J.B. Bennett of London, was active 1896-1914, creating Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts design jewelry. The works were often sold by Liberty & Co. in London at turn-of-the-century. Signed with the workshop's MBCo logo along with silver mark. Made in Pforzheim circa 1900. 3/4" W., 1 5/8" L., 2 7/8" L. with pin.
