Exceptional Frederick- Carder-era Steuben Blue Aurene bowl, or compote. The footed form, with a column that supports the lustrous blue bowl, has onion-skin edging along with purple and metallic highlights. Signed beneath Aurene with Carder's design number 2760. A drawing of the design is seen on the Carder Steuben Club website. 10 1/8" W., 4 1/2" H.

Rare sterling silver "Wet Your Whistle" cocktail jigger. The figural jigger in the form of an actual whistle is fully functional as such when blown! Marked upon its side for both 1- and 2-oz. measure increments. Stamped marks within for the Napier workshop, as well as sterling. Connecticut, circa 1930's. A very fine accoutrement for collectors of the finest. Napier is known among collectors for creating some of the most highly sought bar accessories, including the famous, original Penguin cocktail shaker. 4" L.

Stunning French Art Deco silver snuff box mounted with a large, rectangular carnelian-colored glass top. Silver-and-marcasite appliques adorn the corners in a fan shape and at center in a diamond shape. Sides have a ribbon-and-garland pattern. The heavy box has hallmarks for London 1923 along with importer mark of Gourdel Vales & Co. The firm, established in Paris in 1820 by Constant Vales, continued as Gourdel Vales in London until 1939. 1 1/2" W., 2 3/8" L.

Pure Art Deco in design. The English sterling silver tea strainer has geometric mounts. Hallmarks: Richard Richardson, Birmingham 1935. 2 1/8" W., 5" L.

Art Deco condiment bowl for cherries or olives has a set-of-six cocktail picks that suspend from its side. A nice example with its red Bakelite-mounted column as well as Bakelite picks. England circa 1930's. 4 1/4" W., 4 1/4" H.

Round English silvered tray has undulating borders. Grooved edging detail in relief completes the design. Made by John Collyer & Co. of Birmingham circa 1930's. 13 1/2" W.

Stunning Arts & Crafts sterling silver trophy cup. A pair of birds are perched upon the top of reticulated strap form and rivet handles. Each is poised to drink from a gilded interior pond. Hallmarks: Hamilton & Inches, Edinburgh, 1926. 5 7/8" H., 6 1/2" W.

Individual size "cock"-tail shaker designed for that one perfect cocktail. Cockerel design top also serves as a drinking cup. Interior fitted with a side pour strainer. Wonderful sterling silver cock-tail goblets. Each of these rare-to-find examples has a fully cast, figural rooster as its stem. The set-of-four bears marks for the Reed & Barton Silver Co. of Massachusetts, circa 1950. 4 3/4" H., 3" W.

Carved wooden bust of an African woman with contrasting, ebonized hair. A patinated brass necklace adorns the neck, and the bust rests upon a round brass base. Fashioned in the Modernist form for which Hagenauer is most well-known. Stamped beneath: Hagenauer Wien, Handmade, with Made in Austria, along with workshop mark; Austria circa 1945-50. 4 1/4" H., 2 3/4" W.

Art Deco-era silvered pewter letter opener made by the well-known WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) workshop in Germany circa 1925. A detailed, cast dog's head adorns the top of the opener blade. Signed with WMF mark upon dog's collar. 9 3/8" L.

A charming dessert plate designed by Dagobert Peche (Austria 1877-1923) with impressed marks beneath for Gmunder Keramik Austria circa 1915-20. The firm executed ceramics for the Wiener Werkstatte. Peche joined Wiener Werkstatte as artistic director in 1915. The decorated black and cream glazed plate has a central foliate design in Peche's iconic style.
