Exceptional Frederick- Carder-era Steuben Blue Aurene bowl, or compote. The footed form, with a column that supports the lustrous blue bowl, has onion-skin edging along with purple and metallic highlights. Signed beneath Aurene with Carder's design number 2760. Rare sterling silver "Wet Your Whistle" cocktail jigger. The figural jigger in the form of an actual whistle is fully functional as such when blown! Marked upon its side for both 1- and 2-oz. measure increments. Stamped marks within for the Napier workshop, as well as sterling. Connecticut, circa 1930's. A very fine accoutrement for collectors of the finest. Napier is known among collectors for creating some of the most highly sought bar accessories, including the famous, original Penguin cocktail shaker. 4" L.

Stunning French Art Deco silver snuff box mounted with a large, rectangular carnelian-colored glass top. Silver-and-marcasite appliques adorn the corners in a fan shape and at center in a diamond shape. Sides have a ribbon-and-garland pattern. The heavy box has hallmarks for London 1923 along with importer mark of Gourdel Vales & Co. The firm, established in Paris in 1820 by Constant Vales, continued as Gourdel Vales in London until 1939. 1 1/2" W., 2 3/8" L.
