Whimsical Bakelite dice holder in mottled green with a large set-of-ten dice-form cocktail picks. Unusual tall dice design holder. France circa 1930's. 2 1/2" H., 1 1/2" W. holder; 3 1/4" L. each pick.

This rare dog's head form jigger, known as the Bar Hound, rests upon its accompanying drinks pourer with original cork. The whimsical jigger is designed to stand upright on the dog's nose and ears, then ready for filling up to the 1- or 2-oz. increments marked on the side. Made in Connecticut by Napier circa 1930's. This American workshop created some of the most unusual collector-caliber cocktail accessories and shakers, including the famous figural penguin. 3" W., 2" H. jigger; 7 1/4" L. pourer

French figural cocktail picks set. The whimsical narrative displays a chef grasping a taste as he upholds his piping hot platter. A set-of-six chef- cap-topped cocktail picks rest within their cylindrical chromium holder. The figure with red, white and black enamel detail stands upon a macassar wood base. Undoubtedly by Sudre, the workshop known for unusual figural cocktail accoutrements. France circa 1940"s. 5 1/8" L., 5 1/2" H.

An unusual find! Silvered art deco citrus juicer. Top reamer with heart form perforations drains into its awaiting stepped, lobed cup, with reticulated base support. Juicer can be inverted to allow pouring of citrus essence while straining seeds or pour directly from the cup. Stamped marks for the Cailar Bayard workshop of France, circa 1930's. 2 1/2" W., 4 1/2" H.

Unusual bucket-form sterling silver cocktail bar Jigger with a swivel bale handle. Made by the Lunt silver workshop of Massachusetts circa 1940's. Light dimple upon one side. 2" H., 3"H. to handle.

Quite distinctive and elegant engine turned cocktail shaker. The large classic form has wide turned bandings in an unusual moire pattern. An additional feature is housed within. The strainer section has a prong-form citrus piercer. Invert to extract essence of a lemon, lime or orange to enhance the perfect cocktail recipe. The distinctive design, made by the Birmingham Guild of Handicrafts, circa 1930. 10" H.

Beautifully interpreted Danish modernist design cocktail shaker. The bold rounded form has a beaded frieze around the strainer section that is repeated upon the base. A ball finial cap removes, to reveal an interior strainer seal cap, with a modernist loop handle. A stunning, elegantly designed shaker. Made in Denmark circa 1940. 9 1/2" H.

Lovely classic form British cocktail shaker adorned with engine turned bandings. The turning upon the body of the shaker is in a basket weave pattern. Jigger top cap has complimenting turned bandings. Made in England circa 1930's. 8 3/4" H.

Prohibition-era glass dumbbell cocktail shaker in cobalt blue. A silvered cap and strainer are mounted upon its top. British glass "cock-tail" mixer with an etched rooster, or cockerel on its side. The top-mounted spout with strainer section has a handle to lift off for cleaning and filling ease. Made by James Dixon & Sons in Sheffield circa 1930"s. 7 1/4" H.

Fine in both quality and design. The tall, hand-hammered Chinese export silver shot glass has a detailed, hand-chased dragon applique that wraps about the circumference. A vacant medallion applique further enhances the design. Made by the Wing On silver workshop of Hong Kong circa 1920. 2 1/8" H.

Whimsical design! This cocktail recipe "Rolodex" design stand is fashioned as a chromium cocktail shaker. A knob upon the side turns to reveal an array of celluloid cards which must be flipped gently to offer recipes such as: BRONX, CLOVER CLUB, MANHATTAN, LONDON COCKTAIL and so on. Thirty one recipes plus the COCKTAIL RECIPES intro card. A scarce example for the collector of unusual cocktail bar accoutrements. Marks: Made in Germany; U.S.Zone, circa 1945. 5 1/2" H.

An iconic piece of American cocktail culture! The carved wooden stork, with its glass bud vase, was part of the famous New York City, Stork Club's, table setting and held a single rose stem. The club was opened by Sherman Billingsley, a former bootlegger, in 1929 at 132 West 58th Street. The famous nightclub, ultimately moving to 3 East 63rd Street, closed in 1965 and was the place to see and be seen. It was frequented by Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, Bing Crosby, Joe Dimaggio and Marilyn Monroe, and the list goes on. The prior collector placed a label beneath, noting that it was acquired from the Stork Club in 1948. 4"W, 7 3/4"H.

The original, highly collected, recipe or "Tells-U-How" cocktail shaker made by Napier in Connecticut. The design for this form was patented by LeRoy Fontan for Napier in 1935. The outer sleeve revolves to reveal drink recipes in windows. An example is illustrated in 'The Cocktail Shaker' by Khachadourian, page 97. No collection should be without one. Long cocktail bar spoon made by the famous Christofle workshop in France circa 1940's. The silvered, lovely quality spoon, with it's twist-stem, has a hexagonal muddler upon the end. 11" L.

Art Deco era crystal mixer is cut in vertical patterns with a cut band of leaves at the top. A sterling silver mount has an elaborate lyre-form pierced strainer pouring lip. Elegant design made by the Watson Silver Co. of Attleboro, Massachusetts circa 1930's. 9 "H.

Danish-influence sterling silver tray. Reticulated blossom-form handles with beaded accents adorn the gently curved sides. Notch elements further enhance the rolled edge. Made by the J. Wagner & Son workshop in New York circa 1940's. 7 1/2" W. to handles.

Bronze bottle opener mounted with a cast figural swan. The form is a fine example made by Richard Rohac (1906-1956) in Austria circa 1950. Rohac trained with Hagenauer prior to establishing his own metal workshop in 1932. He was well-known for creating stylized, Modernist figures of animals as well as other decorative sculpture. Signed beneath with the artist's backward/forward double "R" mark. 1 3/4" H., 3" L.

Whimsical cocktail picks stand in the form of wooden bar. The bar, with it's chromium mounted top counter, is a stand for six figural picks. Five picks are designed as different liquor bottles and one is a cocktail shaker. Made by the Harris Dunn Corp. in New York circa 1930's. 5" W., 4 1/2" H.

Bold stepped Art Deco form with notched architectural elements in relief about the circumference. This highly collected cocktail shaker is extraordinarily rare to find with its set-of-six matching conical cocktail glasses. Each with matching step and notched design upon the bases. Shaker's top cap enhanced with a ball finial, removes to reveal a wafer-form strainer which lifts out for convenience. Denmark circa 1930's. 8 3/4" H. shaker, 2 3/4" H. each glass.

Stunning Danish design! Rounded form has a stepped lobed mid-section. Top cap with a its scrolling and graduated beaded finial bears a distinct Georg Jensen influence. Cap removes to reveal a strainer within the cocktail shaker's mid-section. Denmark circa 1930's. 9 1/2" H.

Boldly architectural in form with it's stepped elements. Random starburst embellishments enhance the surface. Top cap with a complimenting step element has a ball finial. Interior features a wafer strainer which removes for filling of ingredients. Sweden circa 1930's. 8 3/4" H.

Set--of-six multi-color enameled and sterling silver rooster, or cockerel "cock"-tail picks. The royal blue, orange and aqua enamel work is on both sides of each rooster, making this a fine quality set. Fitted in original velvet and silk lined case. Each fully hallmarked: Barker Bros., Birmingham 1935.

Sterling silver cocktail jigger made by the Wallace silver company. The clever design incorporates an actual Bicentennial silver dollar, set at the bottom. Eisenhower 1776-1976 can be viewed from within and the Liberty Bell is seen beneath. Designed with 1- and 2-ounce measure increments. Connecticut, 1976. 2"H.

A wonderful and rare find for the collector of unusual figural cocktail bar accessories. The large cocktail recipe, bottle opener is in the form of an arrow. The 10 1/4" long arrow is engraved with six cocktail recipes: ALEXANDER, BACARDI, BRONX COCKTAIL, DRY MARTINI, MANHATTAN and SIDECAR. This is the first of this quite scarce-to-find design we have had, made by Napier in Connecticut, circa 1930's. 2 3/8" W., 10 3/4" L.

American sterling silver jam or honey pot in the form of a drum. The detailed drum was made by the R. Blackinton silver workshop of Attleboro, Massachusetts circa 1930's. The realistic design has a pair drumsticks upon the cover and is complete with its red crystal liner and original silver spoon. 3 1/8" H., 3 1/8" W.; 5 1/8" L. spoon

Simply charming cocktail bar spoon mounted with a detailed, cast Father Christmas, or Santa. The whimsical, bearded figure carries a toy-filled sack. Nice, heavy quality, silvered spoon has a twist long stem. Made by Reed & Barton in Massachusetts circa 1950's. 11" L.

A rare-to-find pair of cold-painted Vienna bronze dachshunds. The jointly cast male and female have a chain attached to their collars. Painted in deep browns with realistic tan accents on their coats, collars are blue. Austria circa 1910. 1 5/8" H., 2 5/8" W., 3" L.

Nice quality Modernist-design cocktail shaker. Sleek, rounded form with a rounded, shallow, dome-top cap. Made by the famous Wiskemann workshop of Belgium, circa 1930's. 8 3/4" H.

Tall classic-form cocktail shaker in deep ruby-red glass. The chromium mounts are marked "chrome stainless." Top cap, with its engined grip pattern, removes to reveal a flat-top strainer. American, circa 1940's. 10 1/2" H.

A spirited Art Deco cocktail picks set with a painted metal saxophone player. The figure, with his red hat and bow tie, holds a brass painted sax as he faces a holder with six red-top-mounted cocktail picks. All are mounted on a macassar wood base. The narrative set was most likely made by Sudre, known for unusual figural cocktail accoutrements. France circa 1930's. 5 1/8" L., 4 1/4" H.

Whimsical silver jigger with enamel stoplights to direct you. Green-Go, Yellow-Caution, Red-Stop. Made in Rhode Island by the Alvin Silver Co. circa 1960's. 2 1/2" H.

A tankard-, or stein-form holder houses Bakelite-cherry cocktail picks. The set-of-six picks rests within their own stand which lifts out of the tankard. Nice example for the collector of unusual cocktail picks sets. Made in England circa 1930's. 4 1/2" H.

Whimsical and unusual! Chromium cocktail picks holder is fashioned as an umbrella stand. It's circular rim is notched with twelve slots to hold the set-of-twelve butterscotch tone, finial-top picks. An umbrella handle design rises from the holder to carry the set. France circa 1940's. 5 1/8" H., 2 1/2" W., 3 1/4" L. each pick.

Wonderful French Art Deco design. Red half-moon bakelite holder supports a set-of-eight cherry-mounted picks. Each pick suspends from a slotted chromium rounded holder. Additional cherries adorn the stand's macassar wood base. France circa 1930's. 1 1/2"D, 5 1/8" W, 3 1/4"L each pick.

Stunning example of a single Steuben twist-rope column candlestick. The tall amber form has an optic ribbed candle cup and footed support in Celeste Blue. A striking color combination and pattern for the collector of fine early Steuben glass. Frederick Carder design number 6107, as illustrated in The Glass of Frederick Carder, page 164; circa 1920. 12" H.

Extraordinary quality and design. Chinese export fine silver cocktail shaker has repousse chrysanthemums along with foliage and branches in high relief about the circumference of its surface. The beautifully crafted example has hand-chased details. A charming fluttering butterfly in relief hovers above and completes the elegant design. Stamped beneath with maker mark of the Guang Li workshop of Shanghai, circa 1920. Very fine condition. 9 1/4" H.

Crystal combination cocktail shaker and mixer, is deeply cut with diamond patterns. Wonderful, creative design has a sterling silver cover to allow shaking side-to-side. Remove cover to use as a mixer with a long cocktail spoon. A flat-spouted silver pourer upon the side allows for straining. A most unusual elegant form made by the Webster silver workshop of Connecticut, circa 1940. 9 1/2" H. Cocktail spoons are available separately.

Sweet Cartier sterling silver pitcher-form 2-oz. cocktail measure. Ideal jigger size for that perfect proportion. Suitable for function as a creamer or any 2-oz. measure as well. Circa 1950's. 3" H.

A remarkable find! Large set-of-twelve Brooks Brothers silvered cocktail bar picks, complete in their original fitted velvet- and silk-lined box. Wear to box, picks are all in fine condition. Created in England, circa 1940's for this famous retailer which was founded in New York in 1818 as H. & D.H. Brooks & Co. 3 7/8" W., 6 3/8" L. box; 3 1/4" L. each pick.

Long sterling silver cocktail bar spoon made in the prominent Kalo silver workshop, founded in Chicago in 1900. The all hammered surface with spade-form spoon is purely arts & crafts in design. Kalo was founded by Clara Barck, along with five other women who attended the Arts Institute of Chicago. The handwrought spoon lives up to the firm's motto, "beautiful,useful and enduring." Circa 1900.  14" L.  

The whimsical wishing well form set has a bucket suspended from it's winch. The well below holds a set-of-six cherry-mounted cocktail bar picks. The brass set rests upon a round macassar wood base. Nice example for the collector of unusual picks sets. France circa 1940's.  5 3/4" H., 3 1/4" L. each pick.

Art Deco concentrically stepped cocktail bar measure with a spring-release feature. When handle is compressed, the bottom of measure dispenses liquid over a glass or cocktail shaker. The ever-popular "valve jigger," increment marked from 1/2-2 oz., is difficult to find in such good condition. Made by Napier, Connecticut, circa1930's. 4" H.

WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) Modernist wine or champagne cooler of elongated quatrefoil form. Few early workshops created coolers that would accommodate more than a single bottle. Wonderful and practical ! Germany circa 1930's. 8 3/8" H., 7" W., 14 3/4" L. to handles.

Unusual "cock"-tail shaker with a finely cast, large rooster finial upon the top cap. Interior is fitted with a prong-form citrus juicer. Invert the strainer section to pierce and extract essence of a  lemon, lime or orange to enhance the perfect cocktail recipe. Stamped 1 1/2 pint beneath, along with maker marks for William Suckling Ltd. of Birmingham circa 1930's. 11 1/4" H.  

Elegant! Carved mother-of-pearl cocktail picks are each mounted with a detailed, cast, silvered rooster. The set-of-six is complete in its  original silk- and satin-lined case. Made in England circa 1930's. 3 1/2" L. each pick

Enameled and silvered mechanical tongs. Deep teal-green enamel has an engine-turned pattern beneath. Used for ice or olives, when impressed, plunger-form mechanism opens bottom claws for grasping. Nice quality and design. Made in Norway circa 1930's.  8 " L.

Twisted-stem cocktail bar mixer spoon with a convenient muddler upon its end. Identical to those we have had marked Asprey. Made in England circa 1930's. 11" L.

Practical in form as well as function, the silvered Asprey cocktail spoon has a twisted stem for easy grip and swizzle. A convenient muddler masher is upon its end. England circa 1940's. 10 1/2" L.    

A concentrically stepped Art Deco jigger top cap crowns the top of the elegant cocktail shaker. Complementing incised bandings are upon the mid-strainer section. Made by the Elkington workshop in Birmingham circa 1930. 8" H.
