This rare dog's head form jigger, known as the Bar Hound, rests upon its accompanying drinks pourer with original cork. An unusual find! Silvered art deco citrus juicer. Top reamer with heart form perforations drains into its awaiting stepped, lobed cup, with reticulated base support. Juicer can be inverted to allow pouring of citrus essence while straining seeds or pour directly from the cup. An iconic piece of American cocktail culture! The carved wooden stork, with its glass bud vase, was part of the famous New York City, Stork Club's, table setting and held a single rose stem. The club was opened by Sherman Billingsley, a former bootlegger, in 1929 at 132 West 58th Street. The famous nightclub, ultimately moving to 3 East 63rd Street, closed in 1965 and was the place to see and be seen. It was frequented by Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, Bing Crosby, Joe Dimaggio and Marilyn Monroe, and the list goes on. The prior collector placed a label beneath, noting that it was acquired from the Stork Club in 1948. 4"W, 7 3/4"H.

Bronze bottle opener mounted with a cast figural swan. The form is a fine example made by Richard Rohac (1906-1956) in Austria circa 1950.
