Combination one- and two-ounce Modernist sterling cocktail jigger designed by Alphonse La Paglia. A native of Italy, La Paglia was commissioned to execute designs to be retailed by Georg Jensen, USA, in the 1940's. These were retailed for only a few years when designs were briefly continued by International Silver Co. His creations abruptly halted in 1953 due to his untimely passing. A rare set, both in color as well as motif. Cut, etched and enameled in blue. These enamel Art Deco decanter sets are usually in black or red enamel--blue examples are most unusual to find. The decanter is cut with seven alternating panels with the design of a heart, four-leaf clover, bird, anchor and horseshoe. Stopper cut with a heart and each of six glasses cut with wave and circle design. Beautiful, unique and in good condition. Czechoslovakia, circa 1925. Decanter 7 3/4" H., glasses 2 1/4" H.
