A striker is built into the top. The lovely Jugendstil design has foliates in relief to complete the design. Illustrated in the well-known WMF 1906 catalogue, page 117. Firm's marks upon the handle. Secession pottery covered bowl by Dagobert Peche (Austria 1877-1923). Impressed marks for Gmunder Keramik Austria 1915-20. The firm executed pottery for the Wiener Werkstatte. Stylized Vienna Secession design of a figural, reclining woman holding a flower amidst a naturalistic gardenscape glazed in black and white. A tree is upon the reverse. The cover is crowned by a finial along with a geometric Secession pattern. Similar work seen in "Dagobert Peche and the Weiner Werkstatte," Yale University Press in association with the Neue Galerie in New York, copyright 2002. 3 1/4" H., 4" W.

Lovely Art Nouveau Doulton Lambeth stoneware vase. The bold, bulbous, baluster form with its upward-turned opening, is glazed in cobalt blue. Five large heart-form leaves with detailed relief beading are glazed in celadon. Additional leaves as well as pendant Art Nouveau foliates are glazed in light blue, gold and dark green.
