English bronze door knocker with cold-painted detail in the form of Tom Chrudd, known as Old Boots. This knocker depicts the famous "boot boy" from the 18th-century Unicorn Inn of Ripon in Yorkshire, carrying a boot jack and a pair of slippers. He had a nose and chin so long that he was able to hold a coin between them. He was tipped for his service, upon which he grasped the coin in that fashion. England circa 1890. 4" L.

Fluid brass whiplash handles are upon its sides. The stunning form, with an undulating rim, becomes a punch bowl when its original olive green crystal liner is placed within. The complementing cover has an undulating brass florette, along with vines, and rests upon the crystal liner. A bottle can also be placed into the liner along with ice if desired. Made by the Carl Deffner workshop in Esslingen, Germany circa 1900. Stunning Vienna Secession silver stand with four pillar columns has four curved-and-rolled supports at its rounded base. A cut-crystal bowl with notched edging, as well as incised banded detail, rises above. A central medallion with button top holds the bowl in place. Pillar form is a distinct Josef Hoffmann influence, as seen in examples executed by Wiener Werkstatte. Vienna Secession basket designed by architect Hans Ofner (1880-1939) and made in the Argentor workshop in Austria circa 1905. Crystal liner rests within rounded frame displaying gitterwerk elements upon its circumference as well as its open handle. Ofner studied with Josef Hoffmann at the Kunstgewerbescule. He went on to create Vienna Secession interiors along with fine metalwork, furniture and jewelry. An Ofner gitterwerk vase by Argentor is in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York. 7 1/2" H., 5 1/2" W.

An arm slides forward to grasp and hold a heavy multi- facet-cut stopper in place. The stopper rests within a widely flaring pouring lip. The Victorian decanter is extensively and deeply cut on all sides along with a star-cut pattern upon its base. Retains original key.
