A stunning pewter mount with its original gilding adorns the green glass wine decanter. Reticulated berries, foliates and vines are complemented by a hinged top with berries in relief. Made by the Walter Scherf workshop founded in Nuremberg in 1899 and ceased operating in 1914. A fine example from this workshop, who commissioned prominent designers including Friedrich Adler, Peter Behrens and Joseph Maria Olbrich. The range was signed Isis or Osiris as is this beneath. Large English cut-crystal lay-down perfume bottle is deeply cut into diamond and crosshatch patterns. Its sterling silver bulbous mount unscrews to reveal the original cut-crystal stopper. Displayed in a custom-designed, silk-covered, stain-lined case. Hallmarks: London 1886 along with sovereign head (duty mark). 11 5/8" L.

Stunning German Art Nouveau wine, or claret, jug made by the well-regarded Wilkens & Sohne silver workshop of Bremen circa 1900. High Art Nouveau detailed whiplash florals dance about the reticulated mount. A hinged cover with naturalistic blossom finial is upon its top, and an undulating handle completes the silver work. The cover is gilded within. A heavy, quality crystal carafe is cut in alternating panels of wave and diamond patterns. Signed with Wilkens mark, as well as 800 Fine Silver stamp. 12" H.
Leather-bound book is titled within "Collection Complette des Ouvres de Voltaire" and dated 1756 in Roman numerals. The book is lined with marbelized paper and fitted with a delicate music-box mechanism. A surprise lays within, as the book has a stash compartment. 5" W., 7 3/4" L.

Fine Art Nouveau silver and enamel brooch with two large, heart-shape foliates in lush blue-to-green enamels. The hearts are surrounded by additional stylized foliates in relief. The firm, founded by Ernest Murrle of Pforzheim and J.B. Bennett of London, was active 1896-1914, creating Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts design jewelry. The works were often sold by Liberty & Co. in London at turn-of-the-century. Signed with the workshop's MBCo logo along with silver mark.
