Large English cut-crystal lay-down perfume bottle is deeply cut into diamond and crosshatch patterns. Its sterling silver bulbous mount unscrews to reveal the original cut-crystal stopper. Displayed in a custom-designed, silk-covered, satin-lined case. Hallmarks: London 1886 along with sovereign head (duty mark). 11 5/8" L.
Fine figural Art Nouveau silvered pewter liqueur service depicting a maiden upholding a cut crystal decanter. A fluid Jugendstil base holds six cordial tumblers. Stylized hand-cutting upon the decanter and tumblers is in a Secession design. Designed by Albert Mayer for WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) in Germany circa 1900. Firm's marks impressed upon base. Illustrated in "Art Nouveau Domestic Metalwork from Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik 1906," page XXXVII and page 129. 14 1/4" H., 13 1/4" L.
Stunning Vienna Secession silver stand with four pillar columns has four curved-and-rolled supports at its rounded base. A cut-crystal bowl with notched edging, as well as incised banded detail, rises above. A central medallion with button top holds the bowl in place. Pillar form is a distinct Josef Hoffmann influence, as seen in examples executed by Wiener Werkstatte. Impressed 800 Fine Silver marks, along with Vienna assay and maker mark, circa 1905. 7 1/8" H., 8 3/8" W.
Handsome English Victorian oak- and- brass-mounted smokers' box. The design has separate hinged compartments for cigars as well as cigarettes. Each is clearly labelled with a brass plaque. This unusual example is also fitted with a cigar cutter upon the top along with a match-striker plate and a removable ashtray. Within the cigarette section is an additional holder for matches or a roller. A twist-form brass carrying handle completes the design. England circa 1890. 6" W., 12" L., 5" H.
