Cut crystal wine or claret jug with a Bacchus mask pouring spout. The handle and hinged top mounted with Griffin and bird forms. The crystal vessel elegantly cut in a series of diamonds and stars above interlacing festooning elements. A magnificent Victorian interpretation. England circa 1880. Dimensions: 5 3/4" W, 11" H.

Superb quality Art Nouveau 800 Fine Silver tray by the Wilhelm Binder workshop in Schwabisch Gmund, Germany circa 1905. The oval dual handle form has cut out interlacing Jugendstil elements. Hand chased contoured accents enhance the design. Further handwork is seen in rolled edging around the entire tray. Firm's marks beneath. An Austro-Hungarian import mark for Budapest is stamped upon one handle. An identical example in the collection of the Brohan Museum in Berlin is pictured page 101, 'Modern Art of Metalwork', published by the museum. Dimensions: 6 5/8" W, 13 1/4" L.
Rounded form biscuit barrel on a raised footed support. Interlacing Celtic patterns are engraved about the circumference as well as upon the hinged top. Reticulated handles flank the sides. Made by Thomas Latham & Ernest Morton in Birmingham circa 1885. Dimensions: 8 1/2" H, 8 1/4" W.
WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwaren Fabrik) Vienna Secession design centerbowl for fruit or flowers with original green cut crystal liner. Four supports uphold the wavy oval form with central stylized secession florals in relief. Reticulated curving handles with complimenting florals complete the design. Firm's marks beneath. Fine WMF centerpiece depicting a central maiden with outstretched arms. Whiplash handles flank the high Art Nouveau reticulated form. Relief patterns of flowers and vines sweep about the surface. The crystal liner is cut with complimenting florals. Stabilized crack upon left of liner. Designed by Albert Mayer circa 1900 in Germany in the workshop's 1906 Catalogue page 364. Art Nouveau silver card tray with a raised border of intertwined mistletoe leaves. The rectangular tray with its rounded corners bears hallmarks beneath for Orfevrerie Boulenger et Cie, Paris. Additionally stamped with the head of Mercury and numeral 1 for 950 fine silver. The prominent workshop received many international design awards. France circa 1900. Dimensions: 6" W., 8" L.
Beautifully interpreted Art Nouveau design. A Mucha-inspired figural maiden with flowing hair upholds a corner of her gown as it undulates about the perimeter of the tray. Pendant irises in relief are further enhanced by cast and applied flowers and fronds in high relief. Made by the famous WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) workshop in Germany circa 1900. Fine Secession silver bowl designed by Helene Brandt for the famous Bruckmann & Sohne workshop in Heilbronn, Germany circa 1913. The rising octagonal form has a broad rim with stylized Secession flowers, podes and leaves in deep relief influenced by Josef Hoffmann works for Wiener Werkstatte. A jardinere in this design is pictured in "Silber fur Die Welt," page 139. This publication documents creations by Bruckmann's leading designers. 800 fine silver marks beneath along with firm's marks. Dimensions: 1 7/8" H., 10 3/4" W.

Stunning pair of Jungendstil bowls. The footed silver forms have sweeping Art Nouveau elements among shield friezes. Secession influence geometric designs complete the 800 fine silver framework. Undulating hand-cut crystal liners rest within. Two inner-rim flakes on one liner. Each signed beneath with workshop marks for the well-known Koch & Bergfeld, circa 1902. Retailer marks for Vollgold & Sohn are found on the silver as well. The Koch & Bergfeld silversmiths were founded in Bremen in 1829. Examples of their works are represented in the Brohan Museum collection in Berlin. 5 1/2" H., 7 1/4" W. each.
Traditional English biscuit barrel in the form of an actual detailed wooden barrel. The box with its hinged cover rests upon a beaded tray supported by four claw feet. Fine WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) silvered pewter figural, monumental Art Nouveau vases in the manner of Alphonse Mucha. One has front relief of a barefoot maiden with flowing, tousled hair among florals and vines. The facing vase has a fluid-haired maiden sniffing a bouquet of undulating florals. Reverse of each has further interlacing foliates and vines. The neck and naturalistic waving tops are flanked by reticulated Art Nouveau whiplash handles. Stunning examples of Art Nouveau at its best. Firm's marks beneath. Germany circa 1907. 19 1/2" H., 10 1/2" w.
Lovely Gorham sterling silver bowl with eleven deep panel sections. Elaborate scrolling florals are in high relief upon the panel rim. Gilded within. Stamped with this prominent Rhode Island silversmith's "bell" date symbol for year 1900. 9 1/2" W.
