Fine Bruckmann silver four piece coffee and tea service designed by Josef M. Lock. Each vertically lobed piece with tiered dome top mounted with ebonized wooden handles is hand-hammered; cream & sugar with gilded interiors. Made in 1919 in the renowned Bruckmann & Sohne workshop in Heilbronn, Germany. 800 Fine Silver as well as firm's marks and retailer beneath. Another example of this service is in the permanent collection of the Brohan Museum in Berlin. Pictured page 77 in the museum's book "Metallkunst." Signed Dropsy (Jean-Baptistse-Emile Dropsy, 1843-1923). Reverse is further embellished with rambling foliates. A mechanical pencil is fitted into a side closure to lock the hinged cover of the pad.
