Stunning pair of Jungendstil bowls. The footed silver forms have sweeping Art Nouveau elements among shield friezes. Secession influence geometric designs complete the 800 fine silver framework. Undulating hand-cut crystal liners rest within. Two inner-rim flakes on one liner. Each signed beneath with workshop marks for the well-known Koch & Bergfeld, circa 1902. Retailer marks for Vollgold & Sohn are found on the silver as well. The Koch & Bergfeld silversmiths were founded in Bremen in 1829.
