Lovely Victorian, carved mother-of-pearl visiting card case. The lustrous diamond-pattern case is engraved with florals. A silver button upon the side allows for opening and closing of the hinged top. England circa 1880. 3 1/8" W., 4" H.
Bronze bottle opener mounted with a cast figural swan. The form is a fine example made by Richard Rohac (1906-1956) in Austria circa 1950. Rohac trained with Hagenauer prior to establishing his own metal workshop in 1932. He was well-known for creating stylized, Modernist figures of animals as well as other decorative sculpture. Signed beneath with the artist's backward/forward double "R" mark. 1 3/4" H., 3" L.
Arts & Crafts trumpet-form sterling silver vase. Elongated strapwork- and- rivet-design handles are mounted upon the sides. Stylized Arts & Crafts flowerheads adorn the top within incised, banded accents. Both top- as well as base-edge rims are rolled. Hallmarks: Wakely & Wheeler, London 1907. 8 3/4" H., 4" W.
Lovely Art Nouveau pendant from the famous Charles Horner workshop in sterling silver and enamel. An oval enamel in lustrous cobalt and turquois is surrounded by reticulated foliates. Three round enamels as well as a suspended drop, all in purples, further enhance the elegant Art Nouveau design. 1 1/2" L. Signed with Charles Horner's well-known, intertwined CH registered trademark; Chester circa 1915. A similar pendant is pictured in "Charles Horner of Halifax," by Lawson.
Secession gilded brass box made by the Erhard & Sohne workshop in Germany circa 1915-25. Six panels upon the hinged top depict leopards, horse and rider, sailing ship and bird. Side panels include an elephant and a lion. Four feet support the stunning box designed by Eugen Schwemmle. A similar example in the collection of the Brohan Museum in Berlin is pictured in the museum publication, "Metallkunst," page 158. Impressed workshop mark beneath. 2 1/2" H., 3 1/2" W., 5 1/4" L.

Unusual set-of-six cocktail picks, each mounted with an actual sixpence silver coin. The coins each have a profile of King George V upon the front. Two dated 1921 and two dated 1922 have a rampant lion on reverse; one dated 1928 and one dated 1929 have oak leaves on reverse. Coins are mounted upon long, twist-stem cocktail picks. Each stamped with 830 silver fineness. 5" L. each pick.
Wonderful cocktail picks stand in the form of a carved windmill. The windmill blade even turns. A set-of-twelve picks with round, carved wood finials rests within a mounted metal holder. Nice, unusually large set of picks to skewer an olive, cherry or hors d'oeuvre. Made in France circa 1930's. 6 1/8" H.

Fine figural Art Nouveau silvered pewter liqueur service depicting a maiden upholding a cut crystal decanter. A fluid Jugendstil base holds six cordial tumblers. Stylized hand-cutting upon the decanter and tumblers is in a Secession design. Designed by Albert Mayer for WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) in Germany circa 1900.
