Fine WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) silvered pewter figural, monumental Art Nouveau vases in the manner of Alphonse Mucha. One has front relief of a barefoot maiden with flowing, tousled hair among florals and vines. The facing vase has a fluid-haired maiden sniffing a bouquet of undulating florals. Reverse of each has further interlacing foliates and vines. The neck and naturalistic waving tops are flanked by reticulated Art Nouveau whiplash handles. Stunning examples of Art Nouveau at its best. Firm's marks beneath. Germany circa 1907. 19 1/2" H., 10 1/2" w.

Fine Art Nouveau "L'Etang" (The Pond) Jardiniere featuring frolicking children, circa 1890's. Well cast sculpture by one of the most highly regarded artists working in France in the Art Nouveau Era. A similar example is pictured in The Paris Salons-vol. V, page 369. This is an unusual example by Larche, well known for his design of The Loie Fuller lamp. Dimensions: 10 1/2" H., 11 1/2" W.; signed,circa 1890's.

A most unusual-to-find matching pair of silver overlay vases. Each is in emerald green glass with extensive overlay work, all with hand-chased detail. Interlacing Art Nouveau designs climb the baluster form. Four robust flowers emerge from their stems upon the upper portion of the vases. American circa 1900. 10" H. each

Stunning pair of Jungendstil bowls. The footed silver forms have sweeping Art Nouveau elements among shield friezes. Secession influence geometric designs complete the 800 fine silver framework. Undulating hand-cut crystal liners rest within. Two inner-rim flakes on one liner. Each signed beneath with workshop marks for the well-known Koch & Bergfeld, circa 1902. Retailer marks for Vollgold & Sohn are found on the silver as well. The Koch & Bergfeld silversmiths were founded in Bremen in 1829. Examples of their works are represented in the Brohan Museum collection in Berlin. 5 1/2" H., 7 1/4" W. each.

Fine WMF centerpiece depicting a central maiden with outstretched arms. Whiplash handles flank the high Art Nouveau reticulated form. Relief patterns of flowers and vines sweep about the surface. The crystal liner is cut with complimenting florals. Stabilized crack upon left of liner. Designed by Albert Mayer circa 1900 in Germany in the workshop's 1906 Catalogue page 364. Extraordinary Art Nouveau large double photo frame made by the famous WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) in Germany circa 1900. A central, romanticized maiden upholds sweeping flowers upon vines on the rectangular form. Jugendstil designs in relief further enhance the borders of the frame that accommodates two photos. A WMF Art Nouveau sweetmeat stand designed by the influential sculptor/designer Albert Mayer for the well-known German firm, WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik). Mayer was appointed head of the Art Studio in 1894 and specialized in designs which depicted beautiful maidens and nymphs with flowing hair, etc. Illustrated in The Art Nouveau Domestic Metalwork Catalog 1906. Bears WMF mark underneath. Germany circa 1900. 9" H., 14" L., 5 1/2" W.

A lovely bust of an elegant woman in hat with a ribbon about her neck. An example typical of the finest works associated with this highly regarded artist born in Belgium in 1856. Bears Societe Des Bronzes De Paris Foundry Seal. Onyx base. France circa 1890. Titled "Theresa", an example pictured in 'Bronzes Sculptors Founders' by Berman; page 340. Dimensions: 7 3/4" H.

Georges Van Der Straeten born in Belgium 1850. An Art Nouveau Bronze of a woman with hair upswept into a ribbon. Lush brown patina. lovely features capture the remarkable expression and detail this sculptor is known for. Societe Des Bronzes De Paris Foundry Seal, France circa 1890. Onyx base. Chased, large silver overlay flower heads adorn the bottom of the bulbous-form emerald green glass vase. Art Nouveau silver leaves and vines ramble upward upon the tall, long-neck form. An engraved, oval cartouche completes the fine design. Stamped marks for the Alvin silver workshop of Rhode Island, circa 1900. 12" H.

Decanter extensively overlaid with abundant silver flowers upon a florette-and-lattice surround. The unusual and elegant bulbous form with tapering base has a curving handle completely covered in silver. An undulating neck with pouring lip holds a tall, tear- drop-form stopper with additional overlay flowers. Silver has detailed, hand-chased work. Marks for the Alvin workshop of Rhode Island, circa 1900. 10 1/4" H.

Fine antique crystal box with a minutely detailed, cast bronze eagle upon its hinged cover. The eagle is complemented by bronze Art Nouveau floral elements along with foliate-trim mountings. The marquise-form crystal box is cut with vertical fluting and a starburst upon its base. France circa 1900. 2 3/8" H., 4 3/8" W., 8 5/8" L.

Kralik Glatt Silberiris vase with fine silver overlay. Cased golden iridescent pinched vase with a rose orchid interior. Art Nouveau chased silver flowers and vines embellish the form. Wilhelm Kralik Sohne was founded by Josef Meyr in Austro-Bohemia circa 1815. Silver overlay bears marks from La Pierre of New York, N.Y., and Newark, N.J., circa 1905. Dimensions: 4 1/4" H.

Beautifully interpreted Art Nouveau design. A Mucha-inspired figural maiden with flowing hair upholds a corner of her gown as it undulates about the perimeter of the tray. Pendant irises in relief are further enhanced by cast and applied flowers and fronds in high relief. Made by the famous WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) workshop in Germany circa 1900. The elegant form, with its elongated neck, is extensively overlaid with large, robust Art Nouveau flowers and interlacing vines. An elaborate cartouche with monogram is marked 1881-1906.
