Crystal combination cocktail shaker and mixer, is deeply cut with diamond patterns. Wonderful, creative design has a sterling silver cover to allow shaking side-to-side. Modernist cocktail mixer designed by Carl Conrad Braun for the International Silver Co. circa 1940. From a group of designs created by Braun known as the Tropical Line. The designs evoked a Scandinavian influence or incorporated tropical forms. Retains its original pineapple finial relief paddle-form mixer spoon. An example of this elegant mixer, with stepped base and rounded Modernist lines, was featured in the exhibit "Modernism in American Silver" curated by the Dallas Museum of Art.
