Crystal liner rests within rounded frame displaying gitterwerk elements upon its circumference as well as its open handle. Ofner studied with Josef Hoffmann at the Kunstgewerbescule. He went on to create Vienna Secession interiors along with fine metalwork, furniture and jewelry. An Ofner gitterwerk vase by Argentor is in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York. 7 1/2" H., 5 1/2" W.
