Unusual French silver tastevin, or wine taster, fashioned by a skilled silversmith from a 5-franc coin. The rim of the hand-hammered bowl, made from the actual edge of the coin, reads, "Dieu Protege La France" (God Protect France). The base of the tastevin is set with a 1919 1-franc coin and the handle is fashioned from a 1916 50-centimes coin. Nice example for the collector, circa 1920. 2" W., 2 3/4" L.

Figural "Bucket Full" jigger with pivoting bale handle has markings for up to 4 oz. of liquid measure. Incised bandings and a pouring lip complete the whimsical design. Made by Napier in Connecticut circa 1930's. 2 1/2" H., 4 3/4" H. to handle

Tall Art Deco cut crystal jar with a rose shagreen top. The silver gilt mount is hallmarked London 1929. 3 3/8" H.

Gilded bronze letter opener with detailed Art Nouveau florals in relief upon both sides of the opener. Fine functional size and form for use. Artist signed, A. Cladoux. France circa 1900. 5 5/8" L.

Art Deco blue decanter is cut with stylized Modernist florals upon the tall form. A rounded base supports the decanter with its geometric star-cut stopper. Czechoslovakia circa 1930's. 8 3/8" H.

Black- leather-covered whisky flask with a hinged bayonet cap. Silvered convenient drinking cup is gilded within. Made by James Dixon & Sons in Sheffield circa 1910. 2 1/2" W., 4 3/8" H.

Fine quality silver cocktail spoon made by Carl M. Cohr in Denmark circa 1930's. The highly regarded workshop was founded in Fredericia by the father Ditlev Madsen Cohr. Ball finial rising above a pierced loopwork crown, patinated within. 12" L.

Colorful Art Nouveau pottery butter box. The undulating form, with a bell flower and vines in relief, has an applied naturalistic frond handle. Glazed in minty greens along with burgundy and yellow. Interior is a rose tone. Impressed Austria beneath, circa 1900. 3 1/4" H., 6" W., 8 3/4" L.

Whimsical cocktail picks stand in the form of wooden bar. The bar, with it's chromium mounted top counter, is a stand for six figural picks. Five picks are designed as different liquor bottles and one is a cocktail shaker. Made by the Harris Dunn Corp. in New York circa 1930's. 5" W., 4 1/2" H.

Unusual British Citrus Juicer Reamer. Upon piercing citrus on tripod prongs a twist carries the juices through funnel to removable glass bowl. Made in Birmingham circa 1920 by George Bowen & Sons. Dimensions: 3 3/4" H, 5" W.

Set-of-Eight carved bone cocktail picks each with a sterling silver mounted cap. The set rests with a flocked holder. Accompanied by the original maker's card for the Frank M. Whiting Silversmith describing the set. Quite an unusual set. Made in Meriden, Connecticut circa 1930's. Dimensions: 3 1/8" L Each.

Large oval Art Deco silvered bowl with twelve rising geometric panels upon the sides. Carved stained rosewood handles flank the ends. A bold stunning form. Made in France circa 1930. Dimensions: 9 1/8" W, 14 5/8" L, 2" H.

Pure Art- Deco-design silver compact with angular, asymmetrical pattern upon its top. Reverse has a complementing incised design. The sides are completely hand-chased with florals. Gilded interior retains its original bevelled mirror. Austro-Hungarian stamped marks for 835 fine Silver. Assayed in Linz, circa 1925. 2 3/8" W.

Rich cobalt blue Imperial Glass vase decorated within with lead lustre. Vibrant contrast of the iridescent copper orange against blue on the classic form is stunning. Made in Ohio circa 1920's. 6 3/8" H.

British banded agate wax seal is cut into an octagonal with a rounded top. The polished stone is mounted with chased silver that holds its beveled agate seal with intaglio crest. England circa 1890. 2" L.

Modernist design sterling silver double jigger. The beautiful mid-century form has a wave handle. Nice quality example. Made in Mexico circa 1960. 2 7/8" H.

Oval tiger-eye cufflinks set in sterling silver. Made by the well-known N.E. From (Niels Erik) workshop in Denmark circa 1960's. Nice quality. 1/2" W., 3/4" L.

Enameled and silvered mechanical tongs. Deep teal-green enamel has an engine-turned pattern beneath. Used for ice or olives, when impressed, plunger-form mechanism opens bottom claws for grasping. Nice quality and design. Made in Norway circa 1930's.  8 " L.

Set-of-six sterling silver "cock-tail" picks. Each pick has detailed rooster as it's finial. Fitted in original silk and velvet lined box. Hallmarks: Barker Brothers, Birmingham 1930. 3 3/8" L. each

Beautifully detailed ram-mounted figural letter opener. The silvered pewter opener was made by the well-known WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) workshop in Germany circa 1910. 7 5/8" L.

English sterling silver mounted cut crystal flask. Convenient detachable drinking cup is gilded within. Hallmark upon cup and cap: Thomas Jones Watson, London 1930. Silver cap must thread slowly to lock on this early flask, 2 7/8" W., 5 1/2" H.

Lovely heavy-cut crystal box, The oval form has fluted alternating vertical and horizontal cut patterns. A hinged brass mount completes the design. Czechoslovakia circa 1930's. 3 3/4" H., 3 3/8" W., 4 1/2" L.

Fine quality twist-stem sterling silver cocktail bar spoon. Nice functional form with paddle stir at one end. Opposite end has pierced spoon with piercing tines for olives or citrus. Made by Black, Starr & Gorham in New York, circa 1940. 11 1/8" L.

Elegant Georgian-era Sheffield plate wine bottle coaster. Swirling, lobed coaster with applied gadroon-and-shell top. Turned wooden base. England circa 1840. 1 7/8" H., 6 1/4" W.

Antique sterling silver whistle with a ribbed pattern. The Victorian-era example, with its chatelaine ring, is fully functioning. Hallmarks: Francis Webb, Birmingham 1894. 1 7/8" L.

Practical in form as well as function, the silvered Asprey cocktail spoon has a twisted stem for easy grip and swizzle. A convenient muddler masher is upon its end. England circa 1940's. 10 1/2" L.    

Art Deco concentrically stepped cocktail bar measure with a spring-release feature. When handle is compressed, the bottom of measure dispenses liquid over a glass or cocktail shaker. The ever-popular "valve jigger," increment marked from 1/2-2 oz., is difficult to find in such good condition. Made by Napier, Connecticut, circa1930's. 4" H.

Lovely Victorian, carved mother-of-pearl visiting card case. The lustrous diamond-pattern case is engraved with florals. A silver button upon the side allows for opening and closing of the hinged top. England circa 1880. 3 1/8" W., 4" H.

Bronze bottle opener mounted with a cast figural swan. The form is a fine example made by Richard Rohac (1906-1956) in Austria circa 1950. Rohac trained with Hagenauer prior to establishing his own metal workshop in 1932. He was well-known for creating stylized, Modernist figures of animals as well as other decorative sculpture. Signed beneath with the artist's backward/forward double "R" mark. 1 3/4" H., 3" L.

Lovely double-end silver egg cup decorated with detailed panels depicting open-winged eagles and florettes. Stamped 1st standard Minerva mark for 950 Fine Silver along with maker mark. France circa 1890. 1 5/8" W., 2" H.

Scarce sterling silver flask funnel. Perfect, practical size and proportion. The funnel has a rolled rim, a sign of quality, along with a ring. American circa 1930's. 2 1/2" W., 2 3/8" L.

Lovely Edwardian ebony candlesticks with a baluster-form column. Each are mounted with a hand-chased silver applique. London circa 1900-10. 6 1/8" H. each

Mid-Century Modernist silver cufflinks made by the Willy J. Krogmar workshop of Denmark, circa 1940's. Two rows of beaded designs flank an incised rectangular bar. Krogmar workshop mark beneath along with 930 fine silver mark. 3/8" W., 3/4" L.
