A classic Frederick Carder design vase. The Ivrene baluster form has opposing "M" handles upon each side. Original Carder design #8505 illustrated page 302 in The Glass of Frederick Carder. Circa 1920's. Dimensions: 7" W, 10 1/2" H.

Extraordinary design. High art nouveau centerpiece stand by the famous WMF (Wurttembergische MetallWarenfabrik) workshop in Germany circa 1900. A four footed curving base with irises in relief leads to a naturalistic column with flanking whiplash elements. An elaborately reticulated framework of art nouveau florals above rippling water like patterns holds a cobalt crystal bowl. The scallop edge bowl has gold enamel floral accents about it's form. Exhuberant whiplash handles complete the stunning center stand. Firm's marks beneath. Dimensions : 13"h, 15"w to handles.

Art Nouveau Daum Nancy cameo glass quatrefoil-form bowl. Rambling golden leaves along with blue-purple berries, all in cameo, are around the circumference. A mottled background is in tones of yellow, green and amber. Signed in the cameo, Daum Nancy with the Croix de Lorraine. France circa 1900. 3 1/4" H., 8 1/4" W.

Stunning pair of Jungendstil bowls. The footed silver forms have sweeping Art Nouveau elements among shield friezes. Secession influence geometric designs complete the 800 fine silver framework. Undulating hand-cut crystal liners rest within. Two inner-rim flakes on one liner. Each signed beneath with workshop marks for the well-known Koch & Bergfeld, circa 1902. Retailer marks for Vollgold & Sohn are found on the silver as well. The Koch & Bergfeld silversmiths were founded in Bremen in 1829. Examples of their works are represented in the Brohan Museum collection in Berlin. 5 1/2" H., 7 1/4" W. each.

Very fine, large WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) Art Nouveau wine or Champagne cooler. Each of the tri-form sides depicts in high relief a different castle from the Rhine and Mosel Valleys. The castles are nestled among naturalistic landscapes in deep relief as well. Three pierced handles adorn the top section. Firm's marks beneath. Made in Germany circa 1900. 11 1/2" H., 9 1/4" W. at handles

Beautiful Delatte Nancy Cameo Glass Vase with dancing women in cameo relief. Two figures sashaying with veils in Isadora Duncan fashion while one caresses a lyre. Red brown over an orange ground. Signed Delatte in cameo on the frosted background, will not show up in photos. France circa 1925. Dimensions: 9 3/4" H, 4" W.

Fine WMF centerpiece depicting a central maiden with outstretched arms. Whiplash handles flank the high Art Nouveau reticulated form. Relief patterns of flowers and vines sweep about the surface. The crystal liner is cut with complimenting florals. Stabilized crack upon left of liner. Designed by Albert Mayer circa 1900 in Germany in the workshop's 1906 Catalogue page 364. Dimensions: 6 1/8" H, 7" W, 18" L.

Fine Art Nouveau silver jardiniere with Art Nouveau maidens representing the arts. One strokes a lyre while the other holds a painter's brush and palette. Reticulated flowers and interlacing vines complete the design along with naturalistic openwork handles. A cut-crystal liner rests within. Stamped marks for the Martin Mayer workshop of Mainz, Germany along with 835 Fine Silver marks, circa 1900. Artists commissioned by Mayer include Peter Behrens and Hans Christiansen. 3 7/8" H., 5" W., 11" L.

Figural wine bottle holder from Brienz, Switzerland circa mid-nineteenth century. The magnificent carved, bearded gentleman lays upon a cart and is contoured to allow a bottle to rest as he holds a twig-form collar and twig-saw to nestle the bottle. The rare holder is assembled with pegs and has working wooden wheels. Early Black Forest carvings of walnut and linden trunks, symbols of luxury and wealth, were featured in international exhibitions in London, Paris and the United States. Carving of a human figure, as well as it unusual form, make the holder an extraordinary example for the collector of wine-related antiques. Quite fine condition apart from wear to nose area upon this over 150 year old antique.11" H., 5 3/4" W., 18 1/2" L.

Three bottle finely cut crystal tantalus for wine or whiskey. Holder supported by scroll and acanthus ornamented feet. Adorned with loop handle for transport. British registry marks beneath. January 20, 1870. One antique bottle has flat flake on top of flange. 12 1/4" H Each Bottle, 15 3/4" H Stand.

Impeccable design! The lobed creamer and sugar are distinctly influenced by Josef Hoffmann. They have hand-hammered detail and rest upon their original oval tray with its complementing, hammered, rising border. All pieces have rolled rims, a sign of quality. Each is signed by the Wilkens & Sohne silver workshop of Bremen-Hemelingen, Germany. Each consecutively numbered 7173, 7174 and 7175, along with 830 Fine Silver marks; circa 1929. Extraordinary Art Nouveau large double photo frame made by the famous WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) in Germany circa 1900. A central, romanticized maiden upholds sweeping flowers upon vines on the rectangular form. Jugendstil designs in relief further enhance the borders of the frame that accommodates two photos. Wonderful sterling silver cock-tail goblets. Each of these rare-to-find examples has a fully cast, figural rooster as its stem. The set-of-four bears marks for the Reed & Barton Silver Co. of Massachusetts, circa 1950. 4 3/4" H., 3" W.

A WMF Art Nouveau sweetmeat stand designed by the influential sculptor/designer Albert Mayer for the well-known German firm, WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik). Mayer was appointed head of the Art Studio in 1894 and specialized in designs which depicted beautiful maidens and nymphs with flowing hair, etc. Illustrated in The Art Nouveau Domestic Metalwork Catalog 1906. Bears WMF mark underneath. Germany circa 1900. 9" H., 14" L., 5 1/2" W.

A lovely bust of an elegant woman in hat with a ribbon about her neck. An example typical of the finest works associated with this highly regarded artist born in Belgium in 1856.
