American sterling silver jam or honey pot in the form of a drum. The detailed drum was made by the R. Blackinton silver workshop of Attleboro, Massachusetts circa 1930's. The realistic design has a pair drumsticks upon the cover and is complete with its red crystal liner and original silver spoon. 3 1/8" H., 3 1/8" W.; 5 1/8" L. spoon

An unusual example of WMF (Wurttembergisch Metalwaren Fabrik) Secession design. The superbly executed form consists of a sauciere fashioned as one unit with its attached oval tray beneath. Raised Secession elements reminiscent of Josef Hoffmann Gitterwerk embellish the form. Gilded within. The well known Germany workshop's oxidation marks upon the handle. Made circa 1910. Dimensions: 4 1/2" H, 9 1/2" L.

Repousse copper covered oval wooden center bowl. Scrolling Art Nouveau and beaded elements cover the surface. Multi-colored jewelled cabochons are mounted within each of six panels. Very fine and minute attention to detail with rolled copper top edge fastened to wooden bowl with tiny nail rivets. France circa 1905. Dimensions: 2 3/4" H, 7 3/8" W, 10 1/2" L.

Lovely enameled scarab pendant from the Charles Horner workshop. The scarab has luminous blue, green and aqua highlights. A similar example is pictured in "Charles Horner of Halifax," by Tom J. Lawson, page 88. Hallmarks: Charles Horner, Chester 1910. 1 1/4" W.

Vienna Secession basket designed by architect Hans Ofner (1880-1939) and made in the Argentor workshop in Austria circa 1905. Crystal liner rests within rounded frame displaying gitterwerk elements upon its circumference as well as its open handle. Ofner studied with Josef Hoffmann at the Kunstgewerbescule. He went on to create Vienna Secession interiors along with fine metalwork, furniture and jewelry. An Ofner gitterwerk vase by Argentor is in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York. 7 1/2" H., 5 1/2" W.

Patinated repousse brass Art Nouveau photo frame depicting a pair of facing winged phoenixes. Undulating serpent-like forms complete the extraordinary design of the large, brass-wrapped angular frame. In the style of Alfred Daguet, France circa 1900. Wonderful marabou figural cigar cutter. Designed by Ignatius Taschner (Germany, 1871-1913), known for his animal sculptures. The hammered steel bird has a guillotine-design beak. Raise beak, insert cigar into the eye, drop beak to cut, and allow cigar tip to fall into waiting copper bowl beneath. Clever and whimsical. Germany circa 1905. 5" W., 6 1/8" H.; 8" H. Stunning French Art Deco silver snuff box mounted with a large, rectangular carnelian-colored glass top. Silver-and-marcasite appliques adorn the corners in a fan shape and at center in a diamond shape. Sides have a ribbon-and-garland pattern. The heavy box has hallmarks for London 1923 along with importer mark of Gourdel Vales & Co. The firm, established in Paris in 1820 by Constant Vales, continued as Gourdel Vales in London until 1939. 1 1/2" W., 2 3/8" L.

Rare sterling silver "Wet Your Whistle" cocktail jigger. The figural jigger in the form of an actual whistle is fully functional as such when blown! Marked upon its side for both 1- and 2-oz. measure increments. Stamped marks within for the Napier workshop, as well as sterling. Connecticut, circa 1930's. A very fine accoutrement for collectors of the finest. Napier is known among collectors for creating some of the most highly sought bar accessories, including the famous, original Penguin cocktail shaker. 4" L.

Charming narrative bronze. A young boy in a waistcoat and cap lights a lantern. He carries a jug and flask. Patina has golden highlights. Figure stands upon a variegated marble base. Germany circa 1900. 4 1/2" H.

Stunning antique gilded bronze frame in the Empire style. A cornice with foliate detail supported by twist pillars floats in front of the frame. A concentrically stepped Art Deco jigger top cap crowns the top of the elegant cocktail shaker. Complementing incised bandings are upon the mid-strainer section. Made by the Elkington workshop in Birmingham circa 1930. 8" H.

Traditional English biscuit barrel in the form of an actual detailed wooden barrel. The box with its hinged cover rests upon a beaded tray supported by four claw feet. A chased lion crest embellishes the front. Registry marks beneath as well as upon cover for January 22, 1862. 7" H., 5 3/4" W., 8 1/4" W. w/tray
