This rare dog's head form jigger, known as the Bar Hound, rests upon its accompanying drinks pourer with original cork. The whimsical jigger is designed to stand upright on the dog's nose and ears, then ready for filling up to the 1- or 2-oz. increments marked on the side. Made in Connecticut by Napier circa 1930's. A scarce example of this chromium Art Deco cocktail shaker with a recipe dial design upon its shoulder section. Fitted with an outer top sleeve that turns to reveal different cocktail recipes. The recipes include Side Car, Stinger, Manhattan, Horse's Neck and so on. The recipes still have their red enameling intact. Lovely classic form British cocktail shaker adorned with engine turned bandings. The turning upon the body of the shaker is in a basket weave pattern. Jigger top cap has complimenting turned bandings. Made in England circa 1930's. 8 3/4" H.

Stunning example of a single Steuben twist-rope column candlestick. The tall amber form has an optic ribbed candle cup and footed support in Celeste Blue. A striking color combination and pattern for the collector of fine early Steuben glass. Frederick Carder design number 6107, as illustrated in The Glass of Frederick Carder, page 164; circa 1920. 12" H.

Art Deco cut-crystal bowl with robust, silvered, curving spiral handles and raised bead-relief design. Top mount and broad-footed base have complementing bead work in high relief. Crystal has a detailed hand-cut, diamond-pattern band along with a cut-ribbon and floral pattern. Signed with maker mark RM, likely Raoul Monteillet, active in France 1905-1925. 5" H., 12" W. to handles

Lovely Art Deco wine or champagne cooler. The double-tiered form has a hammered surface upon its lower section. Carved wood Art Deco spiral handles flank the top. Unusual example, made by the Wilhelm Wolff workshop in Pfzorzheim, Germany circa 1930. Dimensions: 8 1/4" H, 10 1/4" W.

Wine- barrel-form Arts & Crafts claret jug made by the well-known WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) workshop in Germany circa 1910. The crystal jug, cut with vertical panels, has rivet strapwork, as seen on an actual barrel. The hinged cover, with its thumb opener, has a pouring lip. 8 3/4" H., 5 1/2" W. to handle

Stunning antique sterling silver and enamel butterfly brooch. The detailed lilac wings, with veining in black, have iridescent green patterns along with a green body. Made by the John Atkins & Sons workshop, well-known for their fine silver and enamel jewelry. Fully hallmarked: John Atkins, Birmingham 1915. 2 1/4" W., 1 1/8" H.

Pair of Art Nouveau Royal Dux pottery vases with pierced handles and florals. Ivory tone background with painted green & gilt accented relief flowers. Bases with impressed Royal Dux Bohemia triangles and factory numbers. One impressed Austria. Excellent condition. Height 9", width of base 5 1/2". Circa 1905

Victorian figural donkey or pack mule condiment stand. The whimsical, detailed silvered form holds original cranberry cut crystal open salt and condiment holders. Made by the Villiers workshop in Sheffield circa 1870. 5" W., 4" H.

High Art Deco design tray. The large round form has four geometric stepped fan elements upon its raised borders. Nice large size is ideal for serving or display. Made by James Dixon & Sons in Sheffield circa 1930. 15 1/2" W.

The original lithograph by Alice R. Glenny advertises the Women's Edition of the 19th century publication, Buffalo Courier. Glenny, an American painting and graphic artist, became president of the Buffalo society of artists. She studied with William Merritt Chase. Carved frame with UV-Plexi, 19 1/2" W., 23 1/4" H.

Les Maitres de L'Affiche

In the 1890's streets in major cities were enriched with large and colorful advertising posters created by leading artists of the era. The prominent artist, Jules Cheret had his own print workshop in Paris which offered works from the Imprimierie Chaix print workshop. As artistic director of Chaix, Cheret had the vision to create Les Maitres de l'Affiche (Masters of the Poster). The series of 11 3/8" x 15 5/8" posters designed by the most prestigious poster artists of the day were chromolithographic reductions of the same large format examples be these artists. Prints were sold in packages of four and offered from December 1895 to 1900. Ninety seven artists were represented in the series which on occasion included a bonus plate. 256 total plates or images were produced in the five years Les Maitres de l'Affiche was offered. Each print has an embossed seal confirming it's authenticity.

A spirited Art Deco cocktail picks set with a painted metal saxophone player. The figure, with his red hat and bow tie, holds a brass painted sax as he faces a holder with six red-top-mounted cocktail picks. All are mounted on a macassar wood base. The narrative set was most likely made by Sudre, known for unusual figural cocktail accoutrements. France circa 1930's. 5 1/8" L., 4 1/4" H.

American sterling silver jam or honey pot in the form of a drum. The detailed drum was made by the R. Blackinton silver workshop of Attleboro, Massachusetts circa 1930's. The realistic design has a pair drumsticks upon the cover and is complete with its red crystal liner and original silver spoon. 3 1/8" H., 3 1/8" W.; 5 1/8" L. spoon

An unusual example of WMF (Wurttembergisch Metalwaren Fabrik) Secession design. The superbly executed form consists of a sauciere fashioned as one unit with its attached oval tray beneath. Raised Secession elements reminiscent of Josef Hoffmann Gitterwerk embellish the form. Gilded within. The well known Germany workshop's oxidation marks upon the handle. Made circa 1910. Dimensions: 4 1/2" H, 9 1/2" L.
