Classic Art Deco wine or Champagne cooler, made by the WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) workshop in Germany circa 1930's. The Modernist-form cooler has semicircular, concentrically stepped Art Deco handles. 8 1/8" H., 9 1/2" W. to handles

Steuben Optic Swirl Vase in Green Jade glass. The form is Frederick Carder's original design #6031, as illustrated in "The Glass of Frederick Carder," by Gardner, page 277. 6 3/4" H., 6 1/2" W.

Lovely English pietra dura and gilded brass double photo frame. The reticulated design has scrolling florals that are hand-chased. A central oval is mounted with multi-color pietra dura flowers. Upon opening, two photo frames are revealed. Easel back engraved with retailer Melliship and Harris; circa 1880. Art Deco pottery group of a nymph and faun from the Marcel Guillard (1896-1932) ceramic workshop. Sculpted by G. Debloize. The draped nymph and resting faun have a cream crackle glaze and rest upon a mottled gray base. Artist and ceramist marks are impressed beneath the pottery base. France circa 1925. 11 1/4" H., 10" W.

Beautifully detailed bronze of girl pouring a jug by the sculptor Rudolph Kaesbach (Germany 1873-1955). The girl, with a rich, deep golden patina, has long, wavy hair adorned with ribbon bows. The bronze stands upon a variegated grey, beige and brown marble base. Signed R. Kaesbach; Germany circa 1910. 10 7/8" H.

Finely cast gilded bronze tray with detailed, reticulated foliates in high relief. The stunning Art Nouveau form rests upon four cast feet and is signed M. Migneaux; France circa 1900. 7 1/4" W., 8 7/8" L.

Stunning example! The wide-lobed form vase, with a crimped center, is in a deep cornflower blue. Four sections of Vienna- Secession-design fine silver overlay, with a distinct Dagobert Peche influence, adorn the surface. The flared top is completely covered in silver. Germany circa 1915. 5 3/8" H.

A rare-to-find pair of cold-painted Vienna bronze dachshunds. The jointly cast male and female have a chain attached to their collars. Painted in deep browns with realistic tan accents on their coats, collars are blue. Austria circa 1910. 1 5/8" H., 2 5/8" W., 3" L.

Art Deco era crystal mixer is cut in vertical patterns with a cut band of leaves at the top. A sterling silver mount has an elaborate lyre-form pierced strainer pouring lip. Elegant design made by the Watson Silver Co. of Attleboro, Massachusetts circa 1930's. 9 "H.

Royal Danish design silver was introduced by the International Silver Co. of Connecticut in 1939. This difficult-to-find matching set of bar tools in this pattern includes a bottle opener, corkscrew and jigger. Each has Royal Danish sterling mounts.

The original lithograph by Georges Meunier, 1898, advertises the famous 19th century Parisian dance hall, Bullier. Carved frame with UV-Plexi, 19 1/2" W., 23 1/4" H.

Les Maitres de l'Affiche

In the 1890's streets in major cities were enriched with large and colorful advertising posters created by leading artists of the era. The prominent artist, Jules Cheret had his own print workshop in Paris which offered works from the Imprimierie Chaix print workshop. As artistic director of Chaix, Cheret had the vision to create Les Maitres de l'Affiche (Masters of the Poster). The series of 11 3/8" x 15 5/8" posters designed by the most prestigious poster artists of the day were chromolithographic reductions of the same large format examples be these artists. Prints were sold in packages of four and offered from December 1895 to 1900. Ninety seven artists were represented in the series which on occasion included a bonus plate. 256 total plates or images were produced in the five years Les Maitres de l'Affiche was offered. Each print has an embossed seal confirming it's authenticity.

Hallberg pewter candle holders made by the C. G. Hallberg workshop in Stockholm, Sweden. Hallmark date 1931. The prominent gold and silversmith was jeweler to the Swedish royal court. Each two-arm candle holder rests upon a round, stepped base. A central fan form finial crowns the curving form. Dimensions: 9 1/2" H., 8 1/4" W.

Lovely WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) reticulated jardiniere or basket with high Art Nouveau whiplash florals and vines. A central Art Nouveau maiden medallion is upon two sides. Original undulating blue cut-crystal liner. Germany circa 1900. Illustrated in the workshop's well-known 1906 catalogue, page 230. 4 3/4" H., 4 5/8" W., 3 3/4" D.

Exquisitely cast gilded bronze urn by the famous Barbedienne Foundry in France circa 1900. Detailed relief floral clusters are found upon the top. Additional stylized Art Nouveau flower forms enhance the circumference as well as the sides of the form with its variegated marble base. Signed F. Barbedienne, Paris. 8 3/8" H.

Classic form British cocktail shaker with Celtic-design banded elements in relief upon the body, strainer section and top cap. Made by J.B. Bronze boy grasping an apple. Sweetly sculpted with a scarf about his neck and wearing a knit cap. Olive-brown patina with a contrasting gold patina upon the face and hand. Signed A. Titze upon the reverse. The artist was active in Vienna from 1900-1920 creating detailed figures of harlequins, animals and children. The bronze stands upon a variegated caramel-tone marble base. 6 1/4" H.

Fine Art Deco sterling silver flask. The hammered body has 14K gold panels with incised detail. The top cap unscrews and its telescoping form converts to a drinking cup. Quite elegant. Marked upon opening sterling silver, 14K, 10 oz. Made by Napier in Connecticut circa 1930's. 3 7/8" W., 6 1/2" H.

Lovely Art Deco tray is perfect for cocktails or serving. The oval form has concentrically stepped rising borders. Ends are flanked by complementing macassar wood handles. Made in France circa 1925. 14 1/4" W., 21 5/8" L.
