Impeccable design. Made by the famous Delheid Freres silver workshop in Brussels, Belgium, which was founded by Michel Delheid in 1828. The tray, with its stepped, geometric silver sides, is further enhanced by rounded, open handles with complementing Art Deco elements. The wooden tray's marquetry inlay displays robust Modernist design of contrasting macassar ebony and amboina mahogany as well as fruitwood. The Delheid workshop was the subject of an exhibit in 2010 at the Sterckshof Silver Museum in Antwerp. Delheid stamp, along with 800 Fine Silver mark upon the silver; circa 1930. 15 1/2" W., 24 1/4" L.
