High Art Deco, geometrically stepped, octagonal Boch pottery vase. The most unusual example is pierced upon two top levels to allow floral stems to be arranged in tiers as they are suspended in water within the vase. Alternating black and gold glazed panels have vibrant, stylized Art Deco florals in yellow, white, aqua and orange. Signed beneath: Ch. Catteau, Boch Keramis, D 1128. Made in Belgium circa 1927. 6 1/2" H., 8" W.
