Purely Secession in its design and made circa 1902. The large, gilded photo frame has gitterwerk elements upon the geometrically cut and gently curved form. Signed on the reverse by the well-regarded Argentor workshop. The Austrian firm was located in Wimbergerstrasser in Vienna and was founded by Ernst Russ and Adolf Wilhelm Hetzel.
