Three detailed, cast irises climb the sides of the Loetz lilac glass vase decorated with undulating waves in aubergine. Fine Art Nouveau silver jardiniere with Art Nouveau maidens representing the arts. One strokes a lyre while the other holds a painter's brush and palette. Reticulated flowers and interlacing vines complete the design along with naturalistic openwork handles. A cut-crystal liner rests within. Stamped marks for the Martin Mayer workshop of Mainz, Germany along with 835 Fine Silver marks, circa 1900. Artists commissioned by Mayer include Peter Behrens and Hans Christiansen. 3 7/8" H., 5" W., 11" L.

Stunning Art Nouveau wine bottle stand made in Vienna by the Argentor workshop circa 1902. A frieze of elegant reticulated foliates rises above a raised support base. The tops of the six-leaf forms create a scallop-design opening. The Argentor firm, located in Wimbergerstrasser in Vienna, was founded by Ernst Russ and Adolf Wilhelm Hetzel. Illustrated in an early Argentor Werke catalog, page 82. 4 1/2" H.

Decanter extensively overlaid with abundant silver flowers upon a florette-and-lattice surround. The unusual and elegant bulbous form with tapering base has a curving handle completely covered in silver. An undulating neck with pouring lip holds a tall, tear- drop-form stopper with additional overlay flowers. Silver has detailed, hand-chased work. Marks for the Alvin workshop of Rhode Island, circa 1900. 10 1/4" H.

Lovely Art Nouveau pendant from the famous Charles Horner workshop in sterling silver and enamel. An oval enamel in lustrous cobalt and turquois is surrounded by reticulated foliates. Three round enamels as well as a suspended drop, all in purples, further enhance the elegant Art Nouveau design. 1 1/2" L. Signed with Charles Horner's well-known, intertwined CH registered trademark; Chester circa 1915. A similar pendant is pictured in "Charles Horner of Halifax," by Lawson.
