The bold pattern has geometric Art Deco elements as well, and is glazed in blues, green, golden yellow, turquoise and mocha tones. A fine example for the collector of rare bottle openers. The nickel-plated bronze Cubist cockatiel is signed Bizette. The stylized bird is fashioned with a curving neck and beak that form the opener. The noted sculptor Andre Bizzet-Lindet, France 1906-1988, studied under Bouchard at the Ecole Nationale de Beaux Arts in Paris, winning numerous awards. He is known among Art Deco enthusiasts for his stylized, Cubist animal sculptures. Stamped Made in France; circa 1930. 4 1/4" L.

Six amber-color goblet-form picks (one with loss to top edge) rest within. A stand alongside the bar holds four star-form muddler stirrers. Stamped Made in France, likely designed by Sudre, the workshop known for unusual figural cocktail accoutrements, circa 1940's. 5 1/2" W. stand, 5" H. with muddlers.
