Fine Secession silver bowl designed by Helene Brandt for the famous Bruckmann & Sohne workshop in Heilbronn, Germany circa 1913. The rising octagonal form has a broad rim with stylized Secession flowers, podes and leaves in deep relief influenced by Josef Hoffmann works for Wiener Werkstatte. A jardinere in this design is pictured in "Silber fur Die Welt," page 139. This publication documents creations by Bruckmann's leading designers. 800 fine silver marks beneath along with firm's marks. Dimensions: 1 7/8" H., 10 3/4" W.
Beautifully interpreted Art Nouveau design. A Mucha-inspired figural maiden with flowing hair upholds a corner of her gown as it undulates about the perimeter of the tray. Pendant irises in relief are further enhanced by cast and applied flowers and fronds in high relief. Made by the famous WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) workshop in Germany circa 1900. Art Nouveau silver card tray with a raised border of intertwined mistletoe leaves. The rectangular tray with its rounded corners bears hallmarks beneath for Orfevrerie Boulenger et Cie, Paris. Additionally stamped with the head of Mercury and numeral 1 for 950 fine silver. The prominent workshop received many international design awards. France circa 1900. Dimensions: 6" W., 8" L.
Hallberg pewter candle holders made by the C. G. Hallberg workshop in Stockholm, Sweden. Hallmark date 1931. The prominent gold and silversmith was jeweler to the Swedish royal court. Each two-arm candle holder rests upon a round, stepped base. A central fan form finial crowns the curving form. Dimensions: 9 1/2" H., 8 1/4" W.
Kralik Glatt Silberiris vase with fine silver overlay. Cased golden iridescent pinched vase with a rose orchid interior. Art Nouveau chased silver flowers and vines embellish the form. Wilhelm Kralik Sohne was founded by Josef Meyr in Austro-Bohemia circa 1815. Silver overlay bears marks from La Pierre of New York, N.Y., and Newark, N.J., circa 1905. Dimensions: 4 1/4" H.

An undulating Art Nouveau framework adorns the original complimenting cut crystal bowl. A billowing cover enhanced by relief tendrils and a naturalistic pierced handle complete the form. Made by the Walter Scherf workshop founded in Nuremberg in 1899 and ceased operating in 1914. Prominent designers such as Friedrich Adler, Peter Behrens and Joseph Maria Olbrich were commissioned to create designs. This fine example was likely designed by Peter Behrens. The range was signed Isis or Osiris as is this beneath the foot, circa 1900. Dimensions: 3 5/8" H, 5" W, 9" L.

Beautifully interpreted Danish modernist design cocktail shaker by the Carl M. Cohr workshop, Denmark circa 1930's. The rounded form has gadroon edge detail upon the strainer section along with a faceted mount upon the top cap. The strainer is housed beneath a slender pour spout and features an unusual lock and pivot design. The Cohr workshop originated in 1860 under the later direction of Carl M. Cohr and became noted for impeccable Danish design. Superb quality Art Nouveau 800 Fine Silver tray by the Wilhelm Binder workshop in Schwabisch Gmund, Germany circa 1905. The oval dual handle form has cut out interlacing Jugendstil elements. Hand chased contoured accents enhance the design. Further handwork is seen in rolled edging around the entire tray. Firm's marks beneath. An Austro-Hungarian import mark for Budapest is stamped upon one handle.
