Most unusual example of a fine Art Nouveau silver card case. Rambling vines along with daffodils in high relief are upon the cover of the case. The case, with its spring mechanism, opens to reveal a beautifully fitted interior of moire silk. Each side has a gusset pocket to hold a card. The form accommodates modern- day-size business cards. Impressed marks for 800 fine silver along with maker stamp: Germany circa 1900. 2 5/8" W., 4" L.
A beautifully interpreted pair of Vienna Secession-design candlesticks made by WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) in Germany circa 1910. Clearly a Josef Hoffmann influence with lobed and beaded elements. Firm's marks beneath each. 5 7/8" H., 4 1/8" W.
A rare color combination. Pair of Steuben conical-form goblets in Grenadine with applied Mirror Black rims. A clear wafer foot supports each goblet. Frederick Carder's design #5130 as illustrated on page 199 in "The Glass of Frederick Carder," by Gardner; circa 1920. One signed with Steuben acid stamp mark. 5 1/8" H.

Fine Modernist silver cocktail condiment bowl. Ideal cocktail bar size for olives or cherries. Reticulated floral, ball-and-loop form designed by Alphonse La Paglia, who created designs for Georg Jensen USA to retail in their New York store in the late 1940's. Marks include Georg Jensen Inc. and L.P. for La Paglia, along with an uncommon mark, GJ within a beaded circle. This mark is rarely seen on La Paglia design examples as it is a mark used on Jensen silver crafted in Denmark. Beautifully executed Vienna Secession design upon this biscuit barrel made by the well-known firm of WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) in Germany circa 1905. Reticulated frame and lid with Secession elements which are repeated in the hand-cut and etched crystal liner.
