Purely Art Deco in form. Architecturally, concentrically stepped condiment set designed by the well-known New Zealand designer Keith Murray. The freelance artist was commissioned by Mappin & Webb and Wedgwood among others. The four-piece set consists of salt cellar, pepperette, mustard post and original oval tray. Fine silver snuff box with engraved whimsical scenes of dogs chasing rabbits in a landscape with fences and trees. The engraved narrative is upon top as well as all sides. Bottom of box depicts a pair of dueling gentlemen dressed in period attire. The box is further enhanced with engraved foliates and a lion's mask. Hallmarks: Maker AA along with date mark Q4 for 1846. 1 5/8" W., 3" L.

Fine Art Deco, Modernist, Danish silver pastry server made by the well-regarded Grann & Laglye workshop of Copenhagen. The partially hammered form, with its stylized blossom finial, is set with a cabochon amethyst. Stunning design by this silversmith founded by Johannes L. Grann and Johannes Laglye in 1906. Hallmarks: Grann & Laglye, 1927, along with Assay Master, Christian F. Heise and retailer, F. Hingelberg. An example of the server in the collection of the Brohan Museum, Berlin, is seen on page 194 of Metallkunst. This book of the Museum collection names the designer as Georg Thylstrup. 7 5/8" L.

Exceptional Frederick- Carder-era Steuben Blue Aurene bowl, or compote. The footed form, with a column that supports the lustrous blue bowl, has onion-skin edging along with purple and metallic highlights. Signed beneath Aurene with Carder's design number 2760.
