This is the authentic original Napier Penguin Cocktail Shaker designed by Emile Schuelke in 1936. Retains its original white rubber stopper within beak, dried out as usual with age. Highly sought by collectors! The "Foursome" cocktail shaker set rests within its own fitted wooden base holder, or tantalus. Each recipe-dial top with a rotating arrow offers ten cocktail selections, including Bronx, Clover Club, Side Car and Martini. The holder's handle pushes downward for carrying or shaking the group all at once. Each shaker has an internal, side-pour strainer lip. When inverted, the shaker tops serve as drinking cups. Made by Napier in Connecticut circa 1934. 6 1/4" H. each shaker.
